A few times a year, the Oregon High Desert Grotto, a local caving club, gets together and coordinates conservation efforts. I was asked by Wanderlust Tours, an involved local tour company, to come and photograph the equipment and process involved in the cleanup efforts of Boyd Cave just south of Bend.
Unfortunately, vandalism has been a recurring issue in caves like Boyd Cave.
I was initially a little worried about how much I would be able to photograph in the near-pitch-dark atmosphere of the cave, but I was actually able to get some pretty cool photos with the aid of a few portable LED light pods.
